Job Title: Tax Accountants

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Job Description:

Tax Accountants for Schaumburg, IL location. Prepare and review Form 1040 and 1040NR for Japanese expatriates in the United States, including high-income Japanese executives and employees of multinational companies. Analyze tax returns for tax savings pursuant to the U.S.-Japan Tax treaty, resident elections, and other professional tax strategies. Advise Japanese expatriate clients on tax compliance. Consult with Japanese expatriate clients, in English and Japanese, on tax issues, including foreign tax credits, foreign earned income exclusions, tax equalization, hypothetical tax, US-Japan tax treaty, residency elections, and many other international tax matters. Provide accurate payroll tax calculations and timely filing of necessary forms to federal, state, and local agencies for Japanese businesses operating in the U.S. Represent clients on IRS tax audit, State tax audit, and payroll tax audits. Provide guidance to two less-experienced accountants in the preparation of tax filings.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience in the job offered or in accounting required.

Skills Required: Tax compliance, tax equalization, hypothetical tax, and the preparation and analysis of tax returns for Japanese expatriates in the U.S. Must hold CPA. Must speak, read, and write Japanese.
